June 19th: Mark Bassey - Andy Panayi Reunion Quintet Tickets

June 19 Bassey Panayi Banner
Both Mark Bassey (trombone) and Andy Panayi (Saxophone) are renowned as leading exponents in the jazz world on their instruments. They started their journey into jazz together as teenagers playing in big bands on the London Jazz scene and so this concert is very much a reunion. They will be exploring the musical collaboration of saxophonist Stan Getz and valve trombonist Bob Brookmeyer who first recorded together in 1953 and culminating in the highly acclaimed 1961 album, Fall. They will be accompanied by Nigel Thomas (bass) Alex Eberhard (drums) and Terry Seabrook (piano).

July 10th: Atlanticus Tickets Here
Jul 22 Atlanticus BannerAtlanticus brings together 4 jazz musicians from each side of that big pond, the Atlantic Ocean.  Saxophonist Peter Fraize (Washington DC) and keys man Terry Seabrook (Brighton) teamed up 5 years ago for a tour with trumpeter Jack Kendon and drummer Milo Fell. From the first gig their natural musical rapport sealed the bonds for what is now ATLANTICUS, delivering exciting performances culminating in a head-turning performance at the Love Supreme Festival.  After a 25 date UK tour In 2018 they recorded an album, Blue Haven, which will be released for a new tour this summer (2022). Their music has a classic Hammond organ sound, is mostly original but includes the jazz classic ‘Moanin' and Barry Manilow’s Mandy. It appeals to jazz and non-jazz afficaiandos. “A chance to hear jazz from the source”
